I am here in San Pedro belize Fun times this keyboard sucks major penis by the way so please forgive me. So yesturday we woke up really early in the morning like and flew from asheville to charlotte then belize ot belize city then finaly to san pedro. All in All it took maye 6 or 7 hours. Yesturday was interesting. San pero is like nothing else i have ever expieraced. So drasticaly different from america. But anyway after snorkeling for an hour I decided to go explore the small city/town. Its bizare because one can walk its dirt/sand roads and look up and see howler and spider monkeys. Or glance over and see a 4 foot long iguana lumbering across the street. The really odd thing is that the only cars on the island are old toyota minivnas. Last night for dinner we sat off walking up the beach, we arrived at this really interesting place (have pictures) that had sand floor,thatch roof ect. While waiting for our food the power went off. Completely off this did not phase the locals and workers at all they simply went on cooking (gas) broke out some candels adn they didn't even seem to care. Really odd, then this guy came in and played guitar it was really an interesting expierance. Belize time is som where around 2 hours behind us eastern time so I honestly can't say waht time it is. I just got back from two dives this morning. My father and i were picked up off our dock around 9 this morning to go out and expierance the water. Which lemme say is gorgous. Looks like a windows wallpaper, yano the one with the beach. Crystal clear aqua water. BEAUTFUL. So we go out and I gear up, check my air ect. I enter the watter look down to see 7 yes 7 nurse sharks. The biggest being around 8 feet long. I'm like ok david keep calm keep calm. Although Nurse sharks are not perticularly dangeruos they are really freaking large fish with teeth. So yeah first dive of today was on the reef with sharks and rays. Really kick ass dive. Somthing like 40 minutes bottom time at a depth range of like 30-80 feet. Took lots of photos. Second dive was at a site called victoria. Breathtaking, I could attempt to deiscribe it but your best bet would be to rent the movie finding nemo. Thats essentialy what if looked like. I'm about to head out for lunch. Tomorow I have 3 or 4 dives two in the morning and one at night or two in the morning and two at night. Night dives are really awesome because all the crustations are out ad noctural fish. Plus it adds a certin earieness to the whole scanario. Then wensday I am being picked up at 5 am to go to the infamous blue hole to do a day of dives. Only semi scary thing that happend to me was i lost my weights at 70 feet today, had to get them. For those of you who don't dive, weights help your boancey. So basicaly I stayed cool and got them off the botom. But yeah it was pretty scetch for a few moments.
